Sadie Jane's Birthday

We had two birthday parties to attend this last weekend. One for Murphy and Mann Smothers and one for my sweet lil niece, Sadie Jane. M and M celebrated at Monkey's Tree house, while Sadie held her bash at Hendersonville 1st Baptist... Seriously, have you seen their facility. It's crazy. They have a HUGE indoor play gym and the kids loose their minds over it! Deb takes Mc out there alot, but she can never get enough. I wish we had a church on our side of town that had a facility like that! Anyway, no pics form the SMother's party, but here are a few from Sadie's!

Favorite Cookies

Mc's favorite cookies, to make and to eat, are sugar with strawberry icing and sprinkles. I must say, I like them quite a bit myself!

New House

I can't even talk about the last few weeks, nor do I have any desire to remember them...

So, on that note, I'm just going to start fresh and announce that we are finally, after 1 VERY LONG year, in our new house! It has taken a few weeks to come out of the fog, from the hell we've been living in the last few months, but we love it. I hope we never have to move again!

Daren and Mc feel the same way. We are all settling in quite nicely, and Mc and Utah seem to have made the transition well. They both settled in almost immediately. Utah found her place on the sofa within minutes of it being moved, and Mc was calling it HOME by the first night.

It feels good to have a home again. To be comfortable and relaxed. You never know how good it feels to just be, until you can't.

Mc settling in for a movie in her new big girl bed!

Snow White

I still don't really have the time or the energy to blog right now, but I'm tired of looking at the New Year's pics, sooo here are a few of snow white to change the mood up a little!

Welcome 2009!

After a crazy year, we were ready to usher in 2009!

Luckily, the year started off great with a little family pre-party at the Thomas'. We headed over around 7... Mc had been previously instructed to wear ballet attire by LC, our 4 year old host!

We had a good time with friends, eating laughing and just hanging out. We'll celebrated New Year's on eastern time, and I was not at all suprised, Mc made it until 11. We headed out right after, and I was hopeful she'd fall asleep in the car. I was wrong... she actually got to usher in New Year's twice... that's right, she didn't fall asleep until around 12:30am on Jan 1, 2009. What a little party animal! She was having trouble winding down from the party, so we let her get in bed with us and snuggle a while to calm down. While she was there, the ball dropped for a second time and we got to celebrate all over again.

Hope you all had as great of a start to the new year as we did!
