Happy 8 Month McHaney

Today we are celebrating McHaney's 8 month... I know, I know, it is a few days early, but since February is the wierdest month of the year, having only 28 days, her June 30th birthday just doesn't match up. So anyway, we love you big girl!

Back from G-Town

Well, our weekend in Gatlinburg has come to an end. Believe it or not I didn't see a single mullet. Pigeon Forge had apparently moved up in the world and is much more metropolitian than any of us knew. However, there was stil an airbrush store on every corner, so they aren't too sophisticated yet.

Spending time with Gimmy and Pawpaw was the highlight of our trip. Pawpaw helped give McHaney a bath and Gimmy loved on her with kisses and snuggles. We hope to make our weekend trip an annual event.

Family is so important and it always feels good to know you're loved.

Hopefully McHaney will never question

that!

Weekend Plans

The Phillips family will be taking a short long weekend to Gatlinburg. We will be on the lookout for Rednecks in Love and Extreme Mullets. Expect a full report on our return. Have a great weekend!

The War at Home

The last 3 days, McHaney and Utah have been at war over this little 25 cent duck McHaney received at Ava Hunter's birthday party. McHaney is not big on sharing, but Utah continues to try and distract her with kisses. I know, however, the kisses are only a ploy to get to the duck so she can tear it to shreds.

Also, on the baby growth front, I realized last night that McHaney is getting her first tooth! Her bottom left gum is split open where that first tooth is suppose to come through. Not like she needs it though, she's chewing grapes and bananas, cheetos and crackers just fine without any teeth. But, I guess they'll come in useful anyway!! :)

Our First Blog

So, I guess our first blog should tell you what you should know about the Phillips. We're a little family that love each other bunches. We love to be silly together and snuggle alot... some of us like the snuggling part more than others.

There are 4 members of our family. Daren, he's the husband/Daddy. Daren is an executive recruiter. He was an accountant, but this job suits him much better. He is a man of God and a good spiritual leader for our family. He enjoys exercising, cigar smoking, and hunting when he gets the chance. I'm Rachel, the wife/mommy. I work for my dad as a real estate agent. He owns a real estate and development company. I love to shop and spend time with my family. I've been trying to go to a bible study at church, but can't seem to make it (I've been to 1 out of 5!) I guess that's how it is when you have a baby... Speaking of babies, McHaney is the third member of our family. She is 7 months old and loves to laugh, play with her ball, snuggle with almost everyone, and eat. What she doesn't like is sleeping... oh, and the church nursery. Utah, the final member of our little entorage is a silver dapple dauschand. She loves treats, toys, and attention.
