Mischevious Myrtle

Some days your kid just cracks you up. I'm sure it happens to everyone. Wednesday was one of those days.

First off, as I'm getting ready that morning, I'm sitting in front of the full length mirror in our bedroom rolling my hair. I can hear Mc in the bathroom, but it's safety proofed, so I'm just going about my business letting her mess around. Then behind me, in the mirror's reflection, I can see her walking very slowly wrapped in toilet paper from her neck to her belly with her arms pinned at her side. The toilet paper is still attached to the roll back in the bathroom!!!! APparently, she got into it and then kept spinning until she didn't know what to do. I guess she was walking out to get help.

I seriously just fell out right there on the floor. I mean, I know I shouldn't laugh at that, but if you could have seen how serious she was about it, and really if you can just get the mental image, you'll know why. As I was running downstairs to get the camera, it finally broke off the roll and started to unravel but, I was able to snap a few pics before she got it all off.

Then she was just into everything all day (which is pretty typical.) But it wasn't the usual stuff. Things like climbing the stairs and calling for me to come get her, (she can't some down by herself yet) and then hiding from me so I couldn't find her.

Finally, at the end of the day, as I'm getting ready for supper, I walk in to the den and she has unbuttoned her top and shimmied out of one arm. Apparently, she's been taking fashion tips from her mommy's college pictures. :)

Anyway, it was just a funny day and I thought I'd share with all of you!

We May Go Bankrupt

Okay, okay, I've been trying to decide if I should share this super special secret with all of the blogging world or not, but I feel too guilty not to. Many of you may have already seen it, but a new store has opened over on West End called UAL.

It is basically the most amazing store I've ever been to. These people go in and buy showroom samples, end of season boutique clothing, etc. and resell it for 70-90% off (They have clothing, shoes and accessories.) I'm talking high quality amazing clothing!

I've been 3 times since Thursday and I live 30 minutes away! To just give you an example of prices, I bought a $350.00 shirt for $50.00 (plus alot of other stuff). My cousin bought her rehearsal dinner dress yesterday. The original tag read $800.00, she paid $192.00!!!! It is insane in there. Velvet and Sanctuary pieces originally $150.00-200.00... $19.99-29.99. They've got D&G, Vera Wang, Valentino, Balenciaga, Jimmy Choo, Prada, the list goes on and on.

Lots of one of a kinds and lots of t-shirts and shorts. I'm telling you, I'm in trouble. The only thing I like more than fashion is finding a good deal!

The Little Market Tote

Okay, I don't know how many of you read Seester's Blog a while back about the "Market Tote", but they are absolutely the best baskets ever, and I'm sure most of you have one.

Well, now they have a child's version. It is the cutest thing I've ever seen. Mc is always carrying my bigger one around, so this year for Easter I bought her one in her own size and monogrammed it. I just thought they were too cute!!!

Easter at Grammy's

The closest thing to an Easter Picture I could get, but she looks precious

Mc and cousin Sadie Jane in their Easter best!

And, of course, we had to change clothes and go out to see Skeeter!

Easter Morning

Here are a few pics from Easter Morning. Hope you all had a great one!

You Can't do That on Television

Okay, so the slime in the following pictures may not be as bad as what our friends on Nickelodeon use to get, but they are still pretty gross!

These are a sequence of pictures Daren took of Mc helping herself to an Easter Egg full of skittles. Her first skittles in fact. She was hilarious. I usually don't let her eat stuff like this b/c I'm a freak and afraid she's going to choke on everything. But, I walked in on this after the fact and it was so funny, I couldn't do anything but laugh. (Remember, this is at Annabelle's Bday party, and it is after the beer incident, so we are already wearing our second set of clothes for the day.)

Happy Easter!

Lives again our glorious King,

Where, O death, is now thy sting?
Once he died our souls to save,
Where's thy victory, boasting grave?
